In addition to handling the divorce, I also advise clients on a variety of family law matters which may include, among other claims; the following:

  • Child Custody and Visitation: I provide assistance to clients that are facing child custody and visitation matters. This may include primary physical custody, shared physical custody, partial physical custody and visitation and legal custody and relocation issues. I also handle the modification and enforcement of these issues, including comtempt.
  • Child Support, Spousal Support & Alimony Pendente Lite: I review the financial circumstances and the relevant factors including the Pennsylvania Support Guidelines with my clients. In a support matter there may be issues of contributions to child care, private or parochial school, summer camp, medical and dental expenses, medical insurance premiums, and the mortgage, home owners insurance and real estate taxes, and other expenses. Also, child dependency exemptions maybe an issue.
  • Equitable Distribution of Property: I provide guidance to clients in gathering information regarding the property and debt. Appraisals and evaluations may be needed of real and personal property and retirement accounts and plans and other items. Issues may include valuation of property and debt and whether certain property and debts, or a part of them, are marital or non-marital property or obligations.
  • Alimony: When alimony is a claim in a divorce proceeding, I will advise my client regarding the factors the court shall consider in determining the nature, amount, duration and manner of payment.
  • Separation: When a husband and wife are living separate and apart.

I take the time to listen to my clients. By getting to know them and their needs, I can better represent their interests in divorce court. To learn more about my firm and how I can help you, contact me at the Law Offices of Richard J. Abramson today.
